Day 37 - Move in Day is Tomorrow!

The end of the renovation is here...although we're sure the adventure will continue!

Windows were installed on Friday, the floors were finished today and plumbing is now working throughout the house. The only items remaining are finishing the baseboards, touching up the paint, and installing the guest bathroom vanity (when it arrives). - we hope to have it all complete by the end of next week.

Day 34 - 3 days left!!!

There wasn't a lot to report until this week when things really picked up again!

See below for pictures of the kitchen. No countertops yet, and the dishwasher and stove will go in after that's complete.

Also, there are pictures of the vanity in the half bath downstairs and the one in the master (the guest room vanity was damaged when it arrived, but we hope to have that next week).

Here are the remaining items the crew will be working on this week:

• Epoxy the tub / shower in the bathrooms (Wednesday / Thursday)
• Touch up paint throughout (Wednesday / Thursday)
• Finish electrical work (Wednesday / Thursday)
• Install windows (Friday)
• Install granite countertops (Friday)
• Hook up plumbing in kitchen and bathrooms (Saturday)
• Finish flooring (Saturday)
• Finish baseboard (Saturday)

It's a tight schedule, so fingers crossed there are no more delays! We are scheduled to move in on Sunday.

Day 20

The floors are almost done! At this point, we're just waiting on cabinets and windows, then all of the major items will be taken care of. We finally heard back from the neighbors, so we're planning to order the windows tomorrow. We're hoping they arrive the day before we move in. :) Cabinets should start arriving next week.

Day 17

Just over 2 weeks into the project and we can't believe how much has been done!

Here's an update since our last post:

• Finished dry wall
• Painted all the walls, ceilings and doors
• Tiled the kitchen and bathroom floors
• Re-faced the fireplace
• Laid laminate in the master bedroom
• Cleaned the chimney
• Ordered the bathroom vanities

Oh, and we should know more about the window fiasco tomorrow, so we can FINALLY get those ordered!

It's been hard to see the progress until the last couple of days, which is why we waited until now to send pictures. See below!

Walking in the front door - you can see the newly painted walls. Silver aluminum is a lot bluer than we originally thought. Good thing we like it! :)
